

NBPA Leadership Academy
In 2024, the NBPA launched its leadership academy with a 20-member class, featuring leaders from across the nation. At the 42nd Annual Conference in College Park, Maryland, our inaugural class presented their capstone projects and graduated in July 2025a the annual NBPA awards gala.

Why should I apply for the NBPA Leadership Academy?
The academy is designed to provide participants with both theoretical and practical leadership experiences. You will have the opportunity to explore key leadership concepts, improve critical thinking, develop problem-solving skills, and learn how to effectively lead diverse teams.
Key Components of the Academy:
• Panel Discussions: Participate in a series of interactive panels led by experts in prosecution who have been successful in leadership, management, and innovation.
• Individual/Group Projects: Work individually or collaborate with fellow participants on real-world projects that will allow you to put your skills into practice.
• Networking Opportunities: Engage with a diverse group of participants to share ideas, experiences, and build long-lasting connections.
• Personal Development: Throughout the academy, you will work on setting and achieving personal leadership goals, as well as enhancing your self-awareness and emotional intelligence.

Weekly virtual meetings with academy class cohort, featuring industry presenters and follow up discussions

Collaboration with academy liaisons to complete capstone project

Virtual presentations on capstone project with a panel of chief leaders in prosecution

Fellowship at NBPA Annual Conference & Job Fair and recognition in conference program and graduation at awards Gala
