NBPA in the Community
The National Black Prosecutors Association works to engage, support and interact with the community through programs and supportive initiatives.

LOCAL CHAPTER PROGRAMS + INITIATIVES
Chapters regularly host programs within their areas to support the community and collaborate with local partners, including community groups, affinity bar organizations, and law enforcement agencies.
NBPA NATIONAL DAY OF SERVICE
The NBPA participates in several events nationwide as part of the National Day of Service to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
REAL TALK
In 2014, the NBPA launched the Real Talk Program. Since its inception, members have connected with school aged children to help them to make good choices, understand the criminal justice system, and learn about careers in prosecution.
MARKUS GREEN
YOUTH CONFERENCE
NBPA hosts an annual Youth Conference during the week of its Annual Conference. For almost ten years, we have hosted a one-day conference with the mission of connecting with students between the ages of 10-18 and:
(1) exposing them to the legal profession;
(2) encouraging them to pursue a career in law or law enforcement; and
(3) expanding their understanding of the law and criminal justice system.

Through sponsorship and partnership, the NBPA provides interactive programming and relevant content that considers age-specific challenges, needs, and interests.

In 2024, by and through the national executive board as led by President Simone Hylton, the NBPA Youth Conference was officially renamed the "Markus Green Youth Conference" to acknowledge Mr. Green's longstanding support of the NBPA and dedication to its mission.
