Frequently Asked Questions

How does the Member Discount get applied to my registration?

You may register as a member if you have paid your active member dues. Your first name, last name, and the email address you used during the membership registration process completed on or after September 1, 2025, has been synced with the conference registration platform.

You must enter the first name, last name, and email address you used during the membership registration process to successfully register for the conference. This includes any spaces and hyphens between names.

If you have not updated your email address with our Vice President of Membership since you registered for your 2025 membership, then your email address will remain as the one used during the registration process.

If you have joined or renewed your membership on or after March 12, 2026, you may send an email a copy of your receipt to VP of Membership at vpmembership@blackprosecutors.org and Treasurer at treasurer@blackprosecutors.org, and request that an update be made for conference registration.

If you register as a member and NBPA cannot verify your membership, you will be invoiced for the difference in the registration cost as a non-member. This cost must be paid prior to checking in for the conference and attending any CLE sessions.

Is there a student discount?

Yes! You must use your .edu email address while registering as a student. You also may be asked to provide your student ID during registration check-in.

May I register on someone’s behalf?

Yes. There is an option to register a person/group and put your information too, so that you receive email confirmation.

Can I register multiple people at once?

Yes. The registration form allows for up to 10 registrants in a single form.

Can I register and pay using a check?

NBPA is working diligently to move future conference registrations to a completely online and digital platform to avoid any issues with mailing of payments. We highly encourage all participants or agencies to register online using a credit card or P-card. However, in the event an agency is unable to complete registration with any form of online payment, please contact preselect@blackprosecutors.org for a paper registration form and instructions for payment.

My agency or organization would like to learn more about sponsorship. Who do we speak with?

That's great! Kindly email our VP of Planning and Fundraising Chair, Kyle Stone, at  vpplanning@blackprosecutors.org with your inquiry. Also, please visit our Sponsorship page on the conference website to view the 2026 Partnership Packet.

How can I get a refund?

There are no refunds unless approved by the President. However, registration is transferrable to the following conference year if a request is made on or before June 1, 2026. After that date, it may only be transferred to someone else.

Is my room automatically reserved once I register for the conference?

No. You must follow a separate booking link to reserve your room.

What are the registration costs?

Early Registration is $850 for Members and $900 for Non-Members. Early Registration ends April 3, 2026.

Regular Registration is $950 for Members and $1,050 for Non-Members. Regular Registration begins April 4, 2026.

There is a discounted rate for law students, paralegals, and legal assistants.

Please visit the conference website for more information.

I would love to volunteer - How may I help?

Thank you! Kindly email our Social Committee Chair Judeen Molyneaux at jmolyneaux@sao9.org

What is the conference attire?

The Welcome Reception, Job Fair Reception, and any other social networking events are business casual. The General CLE sessions are business professional attire. The Awards Gala is formal attire. Nightly hospitality suites are themed and we encourage you to participate in any costume/themed attire!

Are all sessions/presentations CLE eligible?

An attendee is usually eligible to receive between 20-25 CLE Credits. All attendees will be provided a Uniform Certificate at the end of the conference for self-reporting purposes. The NBPA does not provide certification to any state licensing agency.

When will the finalized agenda be available?

It’s our intention to distribute the final agenda in June 2026. It will be posted to the conference website and shared with our mailing list and any registered attendees.

What meals are included?

The final agenda will include all meals and networking events that will be included with your conference registration. At this time, we can confirm that there will be breakfast Monday through Thursday, a luncheon on Monday and Wednesday, and dinner at our Gala on Thursday evening.

My agency or organization would like to donate items for attendees or presenter's gift bags. Who do we speak with?

Thank you! Kindly email our Conference Chair Lauryn Day at preselect@blackprosecutors.org

I would like to interview as an Employer or potential employee - Is Job Fair registration included?

It is not. Our job fair registration for employers and candidates is available on our website and is a separate fee. The fee does include the Job Fair Reception. Questions about the Job Fair registration can be directed to our VP of Programs, Candice Smith, at vpprograms@blackprosecutors.org.
